Hey, How does everyone like their Greedy Twin Turbo Kits? I hear they are nice. But how good are they on MPG? How much do you spend a week on gas?

I got 12.0 ltr/100 km on my first full tank (around 63 litres) - that's about a 8% improvement from before turbo and I've been having a little fun with it.

 

for those in the US.. thats 2.63 gallons for 62 miles which is about 24 mpg? did i do something wrong?

 

I just filled up today and got 16.4mpg.

 

If you are so concern about MPG then FI is not for you, by the way I get around 12-14mpg on local driving.

 

There are people that think that MPG has improved with FI but it is just not possible unless you're not boosting a lot. Just how FI is tune to run their A/F ratio alone and bigger injector will suck more Fuel so I don't get it why (at least in theory)

I wasn't really willing to boost a lot until I'm comfortable the engine's not going to explode. I haven't been over 6 k RPM yet. (Although I'm not seeing the point since it really starts to haul from 2.5 k RPM. )

i run APS and it averaged 22mpg

 

I am running between 15-17MPG on traffic-prone NYC local roads with a very richly tuned Remote Mount STS. I'm sure the numbers are higher on the highways, but I haven't been able to go very far with the car since I installed the STS.

 

/\ Was this from the Navi or you actually measure the miles/gallon you consume? With after market injectors the Navi will be way of.

 

what since when did you get the STS and who installed it? so there are 3 of us now in NYC?

my last tank, i barely boosted and after doing the math, I got 28mpg

 

^^^ i swear turbo can give you better mileage all depends on how heavy your foot is... i know that an evo can get like 26 to 28 mpg complete stock..and the reg lancer gets around the same i think...but i dunno im ranting

 

Lancer get around 28-29 on the free way and Evo get about 25mpg on the freeway, but even boosted VQ can get mid 20's if you don't boost and if you're driving on the freeway, chances are you are just cruising and not boosting. Like 617G said if you keep hitting boost you are lucky to get 18+mpg and that goes the same with the 2.0L EVO.
