Check you Boost
With the winter temps comming Im overboosting like ****. On my 9lb map i started hitting the utec boost cut at 12lbs a couple weeks ago and switched to the 6lb map, now on the 6lbs map i am again hitting the 12lb cutoff, luckily my afr are still in the high 10's, but i got an appointment for wednesday for a retune. Who knew 30 degress could cause a 6lb over boost, Anyways you guys should keep an eye out, on your boost levels. I think im gonna have to run on just 4lb wastegate springs till then
Check your wastegate and vacuum line. Are you using Utec BCS? set it to all 0 and just boost of your wastegate and see if you still over boost. 6psi to 12 is a big jump, I don't care how cold but that is a big jump.

It is great and very consistant.

My Vortech was really loving the cold weather this morning. It was about 58 degrees this morning on my way to work and my G was gobbling up that cold air!! It was great!!

It makes for a long explaination, but basically, the UTEC would have to control the solenoid trigger in a completely opposite fashion than the way it triggers the solenoid when using a dual port wastegate. Since the UTEC doesn't have a paremter for you tell it if you are using only one port on a wastegate or both ports, it can't possbly know how you have it setup.
I am one of the few people out there using the closed loop boost control, and it works very well. I have no fluctuations with my boost due to weather...at all!

Man beside some traction problem I love the cold and I don't have that kind of an overboost problem here in NY. I'm tuned at low 70's and it is around 30's-40's here and I hit my boost sooner but no dramatic overboosting problem here. For the record, I still hate Winter in NY

That's what I love about SoCal, the weather doesn't get too extreme on either end too often. And it's only late at night or early in the morning that it will get that cool. So I don't really have to worry about my tune.
boost is boost, 12lbs is 12lbs, etc...
the problem with the colder wheather is that,
each pound of boost will contain more oxygen
but UTEC will still only be giving fuel based on BOOST, so you'll lean out some...
thats where the main problem lies for some tunes.
I'm not sure if the cold is causing your current problems...
