I have a 05 g35 with a procharger.Right know i am running 7.5 lbs with a stock motor and it put down 340 whp. My question is when i change my exhaust and put a plenum spacer in what size pulley do i need to get 400 whp,and how much boost can the motor handle safely. Thanks
i am running the X02 exhaust, motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer, 440 injectors, walbro fuel pump, and an emanage ultimate with the stock ATI pulley... and I'm close to 400whp. A lot of it depends on the tune...
No one knows EXACTLY how much the motor can handle safely. All i know is that ATI sells a 7psi, 9psi, and 11 or 12 psi kit. Higher than that is probably dangerous...

the current mod i have are ATI Procharger, 440cc injectors, AAM Basic return system, walbro 255, Utec EMS, Turbo XS Racing Bypass Valve, AAM plenum spacer greddy SP exhaust with high flow resonator, "custom cold air intake through my radiator support for the supercharger" note, by doing this my boost presser rise and the car is more aggressive. i am putting down 373.9 round off to 374 whp. i am currently running the standard 7psi pulley, but it boost to 9psi.

^^ Yup, retune would need to happen.
When I did my exhaust I lost boost, but the power stayed about the same. Generally, the rule of thumb is 400whp is the threathold of needing to biuld the engine. But as well all know, some blow up stock and some blow with 500whp on stock internals.
I'd see how the car responded with the mods you do, and go possibly get a pulley after the tune. You may keep the same boost, it may go up, down, depends on car, tuner, location, etc.

I understand that I will have to get it tuned when ever i upgrade anything.I am wondering what kind of power does the motor handle with stock internals.

Ive had from 390-408rwhp on my g for 60k miles and 30 or so tracking days. stock internals with the ATI. You can do it but each motor is different. with a good tune you should be fine. I have the stock pulley and get 8.5-9psi as well. I just upped to the 14psi pulley so we will see if we can break the 500rwhp mark.

JK...Just get internals...not happy with 340whp?
