Big Problem Last Night

so last night went to a movie...went to start the car, and made a screeching noise, and then wouldnt start..turned it over once again..then started..but was running rough...as we drove to the house..stopped for gas..filled up while car was runnig..the car died on the spot...went to turn it over..and it was like the gears were seized up..the motor wouldnt turn...so i popped the hood...and noticed the main drive gear on the procharger had been ribbing against the mounting bracket..and had actually melted together...any reason this would have happened?..i wound up taking the gear off and drove it home...also there is a hose under the hood that has just come off from where ever it was connected and is pumping off what smells like burnt oil/exhaust any idea what this is?

thanks for your help

Ouch! I have no i dea because I'm not a mechanic but by the looks of it, that does not look good at all. Please update us as you fix this issue, so we all can have a heads up if this ever happens to one of us.

well it seems that the whole kit comes pre assembled...i dont know if this is true but its what ati told the shop that installed the kit.so they have decided to give me @ no cost a whole new kit...so im stoked about that...epp is comming to the house to put it on this week...wish me luck...and most of the time if its within a year you can claim that the part is faulty and ati procharger should replace it for no cost!!
