Getting a Greddy TT in 2 weeks
Hey, wazzup everyone, my close homie purchased a G-TT kit for his coupe but then totalled the car before installing it and he is selling it to me for $2,000 ( brand new with everything except intercooler). Now, after searching the forums i will purchase a UTEC, and greddy intercooler kit. I plan on taking my car to XS Engineering for install and tune because i've personally know them for years and i know there work is great. What i wanna know is how much extra am i gonna spend getting this coupe turbo kit to fit on my automatic sedan. I really dont have the money to be installing this kit anyway, but for $2k for a turbo kit...i couldn't pass it up
There are a couple sedans here running Greddy TT kits. So, I wouldn't think it would be that hard to do.
Install will run anywhere from $2000-2500 (maybe more depending on what kind of extra fabrication is needed) plus another $300-500 for the tune. Intercooler is around $1k and you can pickup a used UTEC for around $700.
Don't forget the extra safety stuff, like wideband (~$350), gauges (~$200-1000), boost controller (~$300-600), etc. It adds up fast.

^ Thanks....i know i'm going to buy the kit from him but i dunno if i wanna spend the additional money it cost to turbo this thing the right way...I would rather spend the money on some upgrades for the house..plus my fiance would murder me if i spend too much money...i might just buy it and sell it...i'm confused
if you dont spend the cash on some of those key components you risk even more expenses like a new engine because your last one fried. twin turbo might be bolt on but it aint no intake you can put on an ignore. Sweet deal you got though if i were you in the same situation i'd probably have done the same thing.
what you can do though is sell it and buy a supercharger and be able to afford all the other things you need.

I had to have one of my HF Cats modified a little and my A/C lines had to be pushed over a bit. The rest was just a matter of installing as you would in a coupe.

Of course you couldn't pass it up-- there are a lot of stolen Greddy kits that float around here. I'm 95% sure the one I have was stolen from a shop..
Didn't know that going into it but... im not legally liable, and i dont really know that for sure.
