I have a Vortech...7psi...everything stock and running the normal pullies.

Under hard acceleration, my car starts blowing smoke out the exhaust around 4,500rpms. Its like whitish grey smoke.

Any ideas? Am I running too rich?

 

Sounds like fuel from the color, did you ever have it tuned to see what the A/F is doing at WOT?

 

You might have clogged injector.

And instead of spraying it's dripping.

Do you notice any vibration when engine idling?

What happens when you rev the engine to 4500 rmp?

 

May be due to running to rich. Who tuned your car?

 

He's had the same tune for almost 2 years so I doubt it's the "tune"...

This may be a stupid question, but are you sure it's smoke and not condensation? It's been pretty cold lately so I can't see you running rich. Just have Scott check it out next weekend.

 

Well its been fine, just started happening recently. I'm getting it looked at next week. Maybe its the injectors...getting those replaced as well. I'll let the shop take a look at it...

 

how's you tail pipe? is it black? Rich should be blackish smoke.

Yeh I've been running the same tune for 2 years now and since it just started happening, I doubt its the tune.

I don't know what it is...Its getting checked next Saturday.
