Are cops legally allowed to do that? That seems like it should be against the law to have a civilian car and be a cop on duty...

Its not different than undercover police in those Crown Vics.* Now it is against the law for them to rev up on you and encourage you to race.* But its your fault if you first initiate it.

So if they initiate it, such as reving the engine multiple times, They cant ticket you or impound your car?

Well you can def tell those are cop cars . The ones in the vid looks like they are undercover cop cars, w/ lights hidden in the grills and stuff.

Wrong.

If they hold a gun to your head and tell you to race, then impound the car, it's entrapment.

Unless you can legally prove to the court that you are physically unable to stop yourself from racing when someone revs their engine (no chance), AND prove that the cop had prior knowledge of that (yea, right ), you're getting your **** impounded. He's not forcing you to race by revving his engine.

Absolutely right... it's not entrapment if they rev at you then you burn rubber and get nailed for exhibition of speed or worse, but dammit if it doesn't seem unfair.

ummm, you are totally wrong bro. It's legally a very dicey play by police that do this. If you get a decent attorney you probably will get out completely unscathed (besides attorney's fees that is lol).
