Vortech Install ???

The install instructions for my G35 coupe were for a 350Z.
If anyone has done the install, are the ECU wire terminal locations correct. The wire colors are not but i'm trying not to panic over that. I'm finished with the installation and am afraid to turn the key on till i am sure the ECU modification is correct. I used the pin locations listed in the instructions, but without a ECU diagram i can't be positive.
Help if you can, i'd love to get my car off the stands!

Re: Vortech Install ???

All I know is that the ECU pinouts for the G35 sedan are WAY different than those for the 350Z, so my Vortech installer had to get a diagram from the nearest Infiniti dealership. Coupe might be different, though.

Re: Vortech Install ???

Did you buy the kit for the 350Z or the G35 ? Im having mine installed the 7th of April .Got it from Superchargers on line . And its the kit made for the G35....hope it has the right dyagram with it .I would make sure first ! ! ! ! before you try starting it. You can go to My350Z.com They have G35 section and some of the guys there have the Vortech already in and running good....Good luck

Re: Vortech Install ???

Replying to my own post, Yes the ECU pin locations are the same. I downloaded a segment from the Infiniti technical website. Glad i didn't have to resolder all those connections.
Test drove my car, at 4000 rpm at wot it begins starving for fuel. it's like the rev limiter is holding it back. Let off the throttle a bit and its fine. Accelerates ok if not at wot. Guess I'll be callin vortech tomorrow! I think maybe the auxillary fuel pump isnit turning on. Thats a guess. I'm sure they'll tell me to change the spark plugs before going furthur. The acceleration as now so linear its hard to tell the extra hp is there till you look at the tach and spedo! This should be sweet when i get the bugs worked out. A little noisey. No mistaking its got a blower.

Re: Vortech Install ???

Wow, that sounds a LOT like the problem Dollar99 had with his install and it turned out to be an ECU wiring problem.
