ARC Oil Catch on Turbo G35

I'm sure you all know what the ARC Oil Catch Can looks like. The top side has a raised portion with 4 holes. The holes have threads and can be plugged. I was wondering what is it there for? Is it suposed to be venting? what if all the holes were plugged with a screw? Just wondering, becuase it spits oil through these holes and gets very dirty. It's not like its full of oil either. It's 1/4 at best. Any idea's or info is appreciated.

If so, yes it recirculates oil vapor in the engine bay. Smelly...

^^ I think that is what the AAM mod did to the v1. Contact them for more info.
