Re: VORTECH INSTALL II
Congratulations! Looking at your dyno sheet, I'm guessing you had the SS box custom programmed. Is that so?
If so then one observation: obviously, you would benefit somewhat from slightly decreasing the amount of fuel in the R4 map at 6500. It's probably good to have the A/F at 6500 be slightly less than 12 but there's no need for it to be at 10.
Also, did your installer/tuning change the amount of timing being taken out? It's a bit odd to me that your HP curve begins to get really jumpy above 5500 rpms.

Reply to Steve,
No. That is out of the box tuning. Just did the dyno to make sure all parameters were safe.
Software from Split Second should be here Monday or Tuesday. Then It'll be time to "fine tune".
I had a lengthy talk with the engineer at Split Second he's very sure there is more SAFE horsepower available in the timing parameters. He says their defaults are very conservitive given the low octane and oxygenated fuels used on the west coast. His explaination for the irratic nature of the graph at high RPM was due to the overprotection of timing retard proportional to boost pressure.

Re: VORTECH INSTALL II
I'd sure love to get your out-of-the-box map since I don't have a copy of mine anymore (long story). In exchange I would gladly send you my custom maps for comparative purposes--however, your fuel map looks really good except the value at 6500 rpms. So, yeah, it's probably a timing thing.
Send me a PM if you're interested in the swap.
