I just installed a Vortech kit on an '05 G35 MT Rev-Up. It spools fine and has no grinding or noise at any speed over idle, but at idle it sounds like a bucket of marbles. The kit is brand new, so I don't think it falls into the defects that Vortech made. I'm thinking maybe the jackshaft is the culprit.
Like I said the install is fresh, so if you have any ideas before I go screaming to Vortech.

Normal as in, do nothing and it will be fine. Or normal as in they all do it and you have to do "this" to fix it?

 

Need to have your idle raised to eliminate the rattle.

 

since there is no load on the blower, its going to rattle.

dont worry, its common. dont letit bother you. as long at it doesnt rattle when you are driving, your fine.

 

take it to your dealer and have them raise it to 900 rpm and u wont have the rattle anymore. I was charged around 75.

 

forget that, let it rattle. it doesnt do anything.

Theres nothing to tune, it came with the piggy-back from unichip.
It's not there on initial start up, and it seems louder when its warmed up. Smooth like butter when driving though.

 

nothing is wrong... i think its funny cause when im at a stop light people think something is wrong with my car until i rev it up and then they go from whats wrong to WOW!!!

Yeah, like everyone else said . . . . normal. Only raising the idle will eliminate that noise.
