If your G isn't F/I - You wont want to keep it trust me. I think about just building the jeep.
You can just do an NA build and get into the 11s-- even at a low compression. Parts are just a little more expensive than the Gs- if you can believe it.
There's a few of us on the srt8 forums that are jeep srt8 / F/I G35 owners.
