STS Rear Mount Turbo Kit Install

Here it is!!!!

The STS turbo kit for our customer's G35 is here!! All the parts are unpacked and we are just waiting on a few last things before we get started.

We are really looking forward to this build and, as always, we have a few tricks up our sleeves to make our install special.

Here are some pics:

nah it's 6mt. btw, FI'd G, i'm OMSz from my350z.

yeah they come with real tips now! isn't that awesome.

So far the guys at Z car garage have been super helpful. Rob calls me almost on a daily basis to give me heads up on whats going on. It's incredible to know that my car is going to be taken care of by guys who love what they do (not to mention know what they do, well) and jump lengths to help me out.

i can't wait for all those shiny pieces to be installed on my ride.

Finally they realized that they had to do something with the tip!! I had to pay for mine and did some minor fabrication to make it fit.

The dime belongs to our fearless leader, Rob Fuller. It was featured in SCC a few years ago. It made 340/320 DJ with the old exhaust (resonators, muffler, 2 1/2" piping.) Now it has a full open 3" exhaust. We've been real busy so we haven't had it back on the dyno. It only weighs 2,200lbs. It's wicked.
His RB25DET powered 240Z was recently on the cover of Turbo with one of IP's 350z's. Both of his cars are the same color, Mopar Go Green. If you want more info just let me know. I love to talk about our cars.

The install should be very quick. I believe the customer's car comes in on Friday. I will post the total install time at the end of the build. This project will include more than the basic install because we are crazy perfectionists. It needs to be done right, the ZCG way. I will break it all down as soon as we get into it. BOOOOOSSSSTTTT!!!!!

Work is going along quite well so far. It is a good quality kit and the installation is going smoothly. We needed to make a few modifications to get the kit to work on the G and all of them have been documented to make the next install even easier.

All of the pictures are of the mock-up phase. Almost all of the parts will be taken back off and prepped for the final install. So without any further delay.... PICS.

Here is the baseline dyno run. This is the best out of 3.

And now the install pics.

Nice... I'm pretty sure you know about the warm up issue with STS. You may have to do a back to back dyno to get some good #'s. It don't matter on real world street driving since your turbo will always be warmed up when driving. Good Luck By the way you can always hit up CinMotorsports since they just finished their 600whp fully built 350z STS car. They know the kit in and out
