so why not **** or get off the pot? buy the 2.62 and give it a try? then you can tell us how well it works.

limiting your boost doesnt matter if you arent making any power. i run 15 psi on my vortech all day. too bad it all hot air isnt making any hp.

run the pulley. you might not even have to change anything.

 

what im curious to know is what kind of torque you guys are running that blew your motors with the vortech?

 

if you have a VQ35DE non-revup engine, I'd go with a 2.87 or 2.87+34 cog pulley, but I wouldn't do the 2.62 if anything just because it's unproven and has less surface area to grip.

If you do go with the 2.62, be sure to redo your belt layout.

you're going to be overspinning your blower with the 2.62 or 2.87+34 cog. It might be fine for awhile, it might not.

The guys who I've seen blow their engines from sheer power levels were running 370-410tq with their vortech. Add in parasitic loss and you might get an idea of the tq output the engine was actually doing.
