Correct me if im wrong.

I am buying a vortech for my 04 5at coupe on Friday and so far I have the vortech kit, 440 injectors, gauges, stillen oil cooler and stillen tranny cooler. That is the setup im going to run for right now until my funds are replenished. I will be running that with a pretty conservative tune at 7psi. By reading for the past few days through the FI section it seems that setup will be pretty "safe" for a little while until I get the VB upgrade and torque converter.

is this true?? does it seem alright to all of you experts out there?

You will be fine as the centrifical s/c's dont have much low end torque which is what harms the trans.

Fantastic, thanks. Any precautions for the motor you think or the same rule applies?

Motor will also be fine as long as it is installed properly and tuned right you should have no worries.

That satement is right, but the 'low end' torque is wrong.

the more torque you have the more stres you put on it- and the sooner you can build it the better off you are.

I felt more of a rush to build my tranny than my motor.. but I bought an expensive ECU too.

I think what he was trying to say was that the Vortech has very little low end trq so it should be fine which is true as power below the curve is where the Vortech is not in it's element. High end runs are where you will need to start thinking about trans issues and built engines but for your setup your are fine as I was running 430rwhp and 330trq and did not have issues for years.
