one way of making FMIC functional with stock bumper. (photoshop pic)

I took a couple pics today with my bumper on and off. then layered them in photoshop and messed around with my front bumper to see what it'd look like. came up with this and personally, i dont think its that bad of an idea....
i have an extra stock bumper painted IP for if/when i dont have an FMIC in there, or if it comes out totally like crap if/when i do decide to chop my bumper. what do you think?
of course in real life it'd be a lot neater of a cut. but you get the idea of what it would be like.
i think i would attach lining around all the cut area with a similar product like what people put on the edges of their doors so they dont door ding people. but i'd do it with a color matched lining. just so you wouldnt see cut edges and possibility of paint chipping.
this would definitely make a FMIC fully functional.

That would have been a waste of a good oem bumper and lip. Best thing is to sell the oem parts and get an aftermarket bumper instead.

well its just an idea. i messed around with a few different designs in photoshop but that one looked somewhat presentable IMO. im not crazy about it, but i do want to make my FMIC functional. especially since summer is here and its getting hotter. it wont be cutting my front lip, just the bumper. and i have an extra front bumper painted IP hanging around my garage. thats why im contemplating this. personally, i dont like any of the aftermarket bumpers made for the g. they just dont seem to follow the lines of the car to me. i may tool around with photoshop a bit more and see what i can come up with.

Why not just buy an aftermarket bumper. That looks hideous.
