All I know is that when I put the plenum on I had to retune my A/F to add more fuel because there was more air above 5000 rpms.

Yes

Because you are gobbling up VOLUMES of air. Regardless of pressure, a set volume takes in a set mols of air molecules. When that volume runs out quicker for the frontcylinders (because of a decreased spaced above), the plenum becomes important

where are you guys getting tuning done after your Vortech and turbo installs here locally in So Cal? I am thinking of going forced induction(I'll probably install myself), but of course I would need to take it somewhere for dyno tuning
