dear fellow members. I ****ing failed today. as I was installing the midpan. I left the dipstick in, sealing its fate between the midpan and the block. I should commit suicide now. I hate myself. I am upset. someone strangle me.

mid pan?

dont follow. i replaced my upper oil pan and cant picture how leaving the dipstick in could affect any of that.

either way, sounds like you need to take a step back from the car for a few days. too many problems too frequently sounds like you are rushing a bit.

hope everything sorts out soon enough

No matter what went wrong or who was to blame it was a good night. Memories and comedy with good friends. Thats some hard stuff to come by these days. We live and learn and will always make forward progress from our knowledge of our mistakes (unless your an idiot). thanks danny, lil mike, winston and moms(pizza) for the good times. c ya mike
