Yeah, talked to a few guys at Stillen and they told me that their VB upgrade was designed for NA or Stillen SC setup. so that's why it's not as heavy duty as one designed for a ST, TT or a Vortech style SC. that and all the other FI setups pretty much don't recommend their setup for an auto in the 1st place. just thought i'd pass that on.

The stillen is good if your N/A or have their SC due to the lower hp and tq. If you go turbo or vortech the stillen will not shift quick enough.
The car will bounce off the rev limiter because the rpms rise so fast. The only way it will work with the stillen is if you shift before 6500 which is way too early.
Rookie let me take his TT FX down the track at calispeedway and the shifting was night and day compared to mine (stillen).
I was so used to mine that I was shifting too early in his FX. I ran a 13.13 shifting at 6500 he jumped in after me and ran his fastest time of 12.7 shifting between 6800 and 7100.
Get the GTM or Transgo VB upgrade and a tranny cooler.

U are right, it's a rip off bc labor shouldnt be more than an extra 300 on top of parts. The reason why GTM/SGP/etc are able to charge a hi price for these is because not many places can do it correctly. Also, that happens to be the going rate for a VB upgrade so why would they want to make less when they don't need to. It's all about making more profits.
If u can find a local tranny shop that will back up their work then I would go that route.

I don’t think they do the labor themselves though (even though I think they want ppl to think so) - I know they farm out the trq converters - I talked with the shop that does theirs... so I imagine they send out the VB too.
Anyway, to answer your question - the prices I posted are what they charged not long ago.
