Thanks! Initially, I was going to fly southwest into ft lauderdale and pick it up with cash....but then I got lazy. Knew that I has some protection with a CC but man would I like to meet the guy in a dark alley someday.

Website is only 2 months old, and I doubt that's the real address on the website. It belongs to a Sunset Storage. But at least the phone number on the auction is real, so feel free to call and cuss the b@stard out lol

Good looking out ezg

I noticed someone backed out of some bids. I am twitching with energy to 'Discuss' this with the seller...prokit@ssmunch' or whatever.

Keep the faith

what kind of amex do you have? do you pay for any extra protection or just the basic coverage that comes free with the card?

while I have a gold card

I think most CC's offer a pretty good amount of prodection against fraud.

I contacted cycle trader where the guy used my # to place an ad and they were great and refunded the $$$ so I shouldn't even have to fille anything.

I have learned my lesson though.....

Amex covers you for free on fraud; they're one of the best companies when it comes to stuff like that.

They'll even let you return items up to $300 if the retailer won't take it back (not an unlimited number of times obviously). Just call em, send em the item, and get your account credited.

You can tell that listing is fake because he said he took it off of his car but the kit looks brand new, never used. Head unit is still in the plastic.

^^ doesnt mean its fake. I have my plastic caps still and a satin blower is easily cleaned with steel wool and some soap.

Plus that the serial # on the cap, so you can always call vortech and check when that blower was made and what shop it was sold to and if its ever had repairs.

not saying the ad isnt shady though...
