Anyone have a blown daily driver?

 

yeah every day at least 60 miles a day mon - fri

What's wrong with daily drive vortech??

Also have a vortech that is driven daily. Vortech is easy on the car.

 

lol i beat my car every day.

i make the 500 mile trip home ALOT with no problems.

 

nothing wrong with as a DD, but you have a constant parasitic load on the motor so you gas mileage is horrible around town. Esp with small pulleys/big cogs.

 

What kind of gas mileage are you guys seeing?

 

i got one too.. and i consistently about 15 to 16 MPG local and 17 Highway.. but ofcourse.. it really depends on how you drive.. I can't help that every times i go through a tunnel i just have to down shift and floor it cos the exhaust sound if very addicting..

 

^ i get 16 around town and 19 on the highway w/o FI.. i must have gotten a lemon

 

yeah around town my gas mileage blows but its respectable on the freeway... i love my dd vortech

 

I daily drive mine. The mental approach is not stock at all. If I hear a different sound, I start to wonder if somethings going wrong, at which point i'm looking at the blower, under the car, at the belts, etc. This can be an often occurrence, since the vortech is loud in general.

I haven't had any issues, but modding anything carries a higher risk.
