Hood
Guys - I spoke with Alex & Craig @ Stillen last week & they said that their designers were working on another hood w/o that second little "bump" in the middle of the hood. IMO, that's what males the hood not all that appealing. I personally like the cowl induction style hood ( ala late 60's Z-28's & 'Vettes ). In fact, U could probably 'glass on a low profile cowl scoop from Harwood for a more flowing look. Just not sure about the clearance either.

Re: Stillen Supercharger Experience
Thanks for the complements about the video, just have to work on my camera skills now :-)
I just received my CruiseCam in car camera mount and I picked a 3CCD Pansonic GS200 whilst in Japan so many vids will be coming.
Hopefully the install will be done by friday night and then a week later I'll do a post install dyno.
I am still only at 1800 miles and I have heard from multiple sources that the ECU pulls timing until you hit 2000 miles so I want to get past that before doing the final dyno ...

Re: Stillen Supercharger Experience
I'm from England, enjoying the until now only imagined sunshine up here in Washington :-)
I am also looking forward to the numbers, I realise that the stillen is not going to be making as much hp as vortech or ATI but I am looking forward to the driveability of the stillen.
Colin
P.s. what gave it away?

Damn cersoft, sweet ride! Thanks for the great video of the hood. Really puts it into perspective. Which hood implementation did you use from stillen? Your video makes me feel that the bumps in the hood flow much better than the internet still shots depict. Looking forward to your future vidoes!

Re: Stillen Supercharger Experience
Thanks, I have been turning a lot of heads :-)
I went with the fiberglass hood and got a very good body shop to colour match and blend to the fenders and bumper, the install was a little pricey but the result looks factory.
Apparently the supercharger install with be done on Aug 3/4 along with eibach springs and rear camber adjustment, really looking forward to it, then I just have to spring for a lighter flywheel, stronger clutch and oil cooler then she will be done for a while :-)
Don't worry, I'll be posting many more vids (0-60s etc)

Re: Stillen Supercharger Experience
cersoft... your hood looks great. I agree with the above post, your pictures makes the hood look sweet.... I have a question for you guys, does the warranty cover just the engine, or does it cover the computer as well. I have heard that you pretty much void all factory warranties with a supercharger, and if you have a problem with the computer in the future, its on you. Computers are pretty expensive from what I hear. Any major upgrades to the car can result in a shorter life for the computer. Having a warranty on the engine, but the computer can cost just as much or pretty close to it.
Any thoughts.

Re: Stillen Supercharger Experience
The Stillen normal warranty covers only the blower itself. Nothing else.
If you get their extended warranty, I found out from talking to the sales rep and Dell (warranty provider), that it only covers the motor upto $3000.00. Which means, you fork out 280 for their exteneded warrranty. If you blow your motor because of the blower, they will give you $3000 for a new motor, or get it fixed, whichever is cheaper. But if the motor is $6000 to replace, you only get $3000 and you foot the bill for the rest. For a $280 investment, its not bad, becuase you still get $3000 and then can rebuild the motor.
