I was wondering if you would ever make your way to this thread. Last I remember, you said you spent around 80k (but about 30k could have been saved if you didnt switch turbo kits). I believe you are 1 of 2 people here to cross the 1k hp mark.
Could have been done much cheaper...but at that level...things can snap or fail very quick....I want this build to last for another 60years
If I didn't have to change motor and turbo kit I could have saved about 30K. Most of the cost was the stroker motor, supporting parts to hold the motor together and the GTM TT kit., cams...plus the d@mn triple clutch to hold the power plus, plus and plus again. Oh yeah....tons of custom work...piping and so on.

I forgot how much I paid for my OS clutch....but I remember paying $2400 for my Carbonetics triple. The other clutch that FP looked at that could hold the spool up pattern I have cost over 4K-5K.
My Carbonetics clutch went up in smoke at the first dyno run @ 16 psi. So I would love for some one to show me a $300 clutch that can hold 1000hp and still allow you to shift.

In the end I received discounted price from FP and GTM....things add up fast...I had no idea it would have cost that much.
I have my receipts hidden deep down in a box that I hope to never find again...lol...

No I'm not. 1000whp internals are less than 3.5k. Add machining cost and some cams, springs, retainers for the heads and if you put it together yourself it's less than 6k.
The clutch isn't 2000. You can get a 6 puck clutch here custom built for less than 200 as long you have a core. I have a 6 puck kevlar one sitting that can hold 600 rwtq built for 175 with a chromoly flywheel that cost me less than 300. I could have easily requested for the clutch to hold 900rwtq. Of course it's not easy to drive AT ALL but it holds. I have yet to balance the assembly. I do not have the flywheel bolts.
The block doesn't have to be sleeved at all. XKR is at 1000 without a sleeved block. And If I had the 15k I'd run it above 1000 just to prove a point. I would also actually attempt this with the stock ECU. If the GTR makes 1000+ with the stock ECU why shouldn't the Revup ECU with Osiris and upgraded MAF sensors?

Some of the time you can find brand new parts in the box rated for 1000 selling in the marketplace for a lot less than retail. Like these Manley rods on my350z. http://my350z.com/forum/engine/52468...-vq35-new.html
I've seen brand new or slightly used pistons often selling at a good discount as well rated for 1000.
When the only other people you ever speak to are other hella flush people who can only help you stretch more tyres and be more hella flush (increasing the drag coefficient of your G coupe), it all seems impossible.

Andrei is one of those guys who always posts as if he knows best, he has come onto a few threads and started spewing his thoughts without actually having any evidence to back it up and by evidence I mean doing it himself.
His biggest issue is that many of us on here pay for labor and do not do things ourselves.....unfortunately that can not always happen, not all of us are mechanically inclined to build engines and make sure there is no tolerance stack up.
I agree with superchargedg this guy is a moron and a half.

I think you should burn that box...you might open it by accident...
