why so slow

Hey does anybody have any idea why my vortech g is so slow after it warms up. The first time i drive it, it flys with full boost then as soon as it gets warm its like driving a totally different car. sslloooww. I havnt got it tuned and dont have ecu so maybe thats what it is.

GET A TUNE ASAP...wow you're not going to last very long driving around at full boost without one. FI is already dangerous enough to the stock block as it is with a good tune...I won't be surprised if the next time you hit full boost, you have something bigger to worry about other than heat soak.

and the car only hits full boost the first time i drive it everyday or when the engine is completley cool. and its been like that for months. if i punch it in third gear the boost goes up slower than the rpms.

Was it a full vortech kit? then it came with an SS box.. What was the Air Fuel when the car is fully warmed or when you feel it is slow..

i think around 14 maybe but the problem is i bought the car from a girl who didnt know anything about it who bought it from someone else. So basically i dont know too much about the car and everything thats in it. I guess that the prob with buying a car thats already FI. Its weird that theirs not a ems in it tho and i havnt ran into any problems. I shoud probly just get the Utec and go get it tuned.

There's gotta be an EMS, did you look at the ECU if there is anything attached? Also I'm talking about what A/F when you are hitting boost. 14.7:1 A/F is cruising air fuel ratio and if that is your air fuel when you are on boost then you have bigger problems!!!

Stock ECU requires water temp to be at 158 before closed loop fuel control. Once it warms up it's probably pulling timing which is why it feels slow.

If you are running on stock ecu then it is just a matter of time before your motor blow! Don't tell me you are also on stock inj. You beter bring that car in a proshop to make sure everthing is ok

Rule # 1 on buying a modified car especially boosted car, YOU MUST KNOW THE HISTORY OR KNOW WHAT IS IN IT OR WHAT WAS DONE!!! You should've at least have done a compression test to make sure the motor is fine. I strongly suggest to bring that car to a Pro Shop just to make sure things are ok. Inj. by the way is injector... Are you sure you have a Vortech and not an ATI Procharger? Procharger doesnt come with EMS and stupid people from ATI even tell their customer that an EMS is not necessary (not sure if they still do it)

If you are right that you dont have an EMS then it is just a matter of time before your motor blow in to pieces!!! And if you are running on stock injector too then.... oh well, get the point? Just have that car checked up and tell us what you find out and then we can help you... We need to know exactly what you have for us to help you.

Edit:
How do you know you dont have any EMS? Also you haven't answered what is your Air Fuel when boosting... If you cant tell me what is your A/F on full boost then I can tell you if you do have an ems...
