Pssst - Mr. Wolf... Should I sell my car?

Garage tells the initial story... it quickly took a turn... Even four yrs ago CA Smog ***** had me concerned so Stillen SC was on the radar... but JWT TT was the real focus... CARB cert TT from JWT are you kidding???!!!! I waited... I was determined...

Then read a couple of articles (SportZ, then Nissan Sport)... and spoke to close friend (resource of articles)... cold start was the only challenge for the JWT TT CARB approval.

The wait continued as I poured NA $$$$... during the quest meeting Mr. Wolf himself - less than a yr ago... I asked about the CARB approval and challenges for the TT kit - whether it was nixed... he implied they weren’t done trying...

*** I don’t follow the FI world... you guys/girls are nutz!... I made a self-determination yrs ago that when JWT TT is CARB legal, I'm in!

So... I guess this is an FI noob question... anyone know recent status?

If you throw the search icon, and flame thrower I'll cry ~ {then probably realize you're an idiot}

Last I heard they stopped trying and it hasn't been CARB approved and won't be. Call them if you want for a better update.

You can call JWT and speak to Jim himself, I have done it many times.

I heard less than 8 months ago they have stopped trying, so unless your news is more recent then that I don't think it is going to happen.

thank you - but I don’t think you fully read my post. I met with him face to face (less than 8 months ago) and had the conversation I relayed... different implication than you relay...

Anyway - this was an attempt to stay abreast on developments (if any) - since I don’t follow (basic) FI ...

If anyone has info (other than "pick up a phone") post up

yes, I did... I figured it would be a while (if ever) for the JWT kit... lately I've been debating on full build (down the road) - but still haven’t given up on the TT idea yet... nothing will be done immediately, so I'll wait & see what the JWT camp comes up with... or just sell the car down the road and work with something else.

I spoke to Jim about 3 months ago on this topic..it just randomly came up, as we were discussing a G37 TT application. They are no longer seeking CARB approval, as their first several attempts failed. They passed all the tests, EXCEPT for the cold start emissions test. That is the one that has stumbed everyone. There is no easy way to improve cat light times.

the original plan/thought (3 yrs ago)... since then I have been interested in the NA challenge - I probably wouldnt do the easy route of slapping on a sc and call it a day... I only brought the JWT consideration back to my brain one last time before I continue further with NA... its looking like a monster TT build with JWT isnt gonna happen so I'm still on my NA quest (for now)

DaveO gave him suggestion for the cold start hurdle... but I don’t think Jim implemented it... my fear is that I will forget about the idea that it will be carb approved – and continue in the direction I’m going NA – then all of the sudden find that they got approval (when its too late)
