I'm surprised you are still raving about gtm....
OP take it to someone that is an expert in these VQ motors. Most shops can't really handle these installed and they have to call in specialist to do the install and tuning done properly.

LOL. At least I had a bench to sit on while my car was being worked on, dyno'ed and tuned by the team at GTM. I reckon you had a curb or Scott's lovechild's yard swingset to mope around on while you wait. I even received a hard copy dyno sheet on the spot by Sam.
Just to let you on a secret... real shops specialize on real cars to earn real funds to invest on real assets and pay real dues in order to become a "realer" shop. It pays to play as quoted by my wallet.

Don't hate...while his car was with RA he was able to wait in someone's house garage while his car was parked outside of a public housing project, being driven back and forth to God knows where. 
About the dyno sheet, he'll get one in four years! No biggie.

GTM has been around for a long time, they have one of the best reputations in the industry.
You can always find some place cheaper. But unless you have the money for a rebuild, I would take it to a shop that will be honest with you rather than fitting your budget.
If a customer comes to us and wants us to do something they shouldn't be doing, I'll be very forward with them. We can discuss their budget and put together a timeline if they need. We won't half-*** a job though. It's easier to spend $1000 more upfront than to spend $6k rebuilding something that wasn't quite right. As a customer you also have to ask yourself how it is that someone can be "cheaper" than another quote you got. Where are they cutting corners, what aren't they telling you. Educate yourself first, thats the most important thing you can do as a consumer. The more you know, the less mistakes you'll make. Cause frankly if your motor does blow up, it doesn't matter where you take it, no shop is going to be buying you a motor.
Asking a bunch of people on a forum may get you some basic info, atleast a few shops to get price quotes from. You'll still have to talk to those shops though, find one that has a good reputation, is willing to discuss your build in detail beforehand, and will give you advice on the things that may or may not happen with solutions to those issues.
Also make sure the company you take it to isn't operated on someone elses business license, and they aren't working out of their fathers shop.

Saying that GTM doesn't know VQs and can't handle install and tuning of a turbo kit is about the most unintelligent remark someone could make. Even if you prefer one shop (or mobile shed), to insinuate that a shop like GTM is not good with VQs is insane.

Do you guys know if anybody from SFR is on this forum. I know someone by the username of turbotim frequents the my350zforum quite a bit but was wondering if he comes on here at all? As to the OP's question, I've heard nothing but good things about GTM in Rancho Cucamonga. Im thinking about driving up to them to get my car tuned once my vortech is installed..

To the OP......whatever you do,do not take your car to Scott at Relentless.He cant tune a lawnmower and he certainly cannot put a car together without the help of other shops.You mine as well skip the middleman and save some cashola.We would be more then willing to help you out if you need......And if Scott has anything to say about it then I have this to say to him........I challenge you to a build off. Any car, any time and any place. There would be one rule and that is,we have to do the work ourselves with the help of noone.That means...make the parts,build the engines,install everyhting and tune it. You up for that Scott? Didnt think so. LOL.

My favorite trick is to challenge guys who think they are the sh*t to a one on one build-off.LOL. Havent had anyone step up to the plate yet.
