Nice to see you guys transition your knowledge from the 2JZ to the VQ35...

 

you should not be surprised that the 3 well known supra shops that came in took very little time to take the VQ to another level. Intense did it pretty fast with the single turbos and the wide body G35, back when it was conceived impossible by some to have a production turbo kit that capable(700whp). THey achived 906whp(turbo not maxed) with single turbo on 6mt and 1st 1000whp(turbos not maxed) 6mt with the twin gt37r turbo and could have done more, i hope i can do that too. Injected had a more custom g42r(unfortuantly they couldnt track or max turbo out) but once they went with the single gt47r and full track setup and th400 they were quickly in the 7sec range on 1/4 mile...they still have more room on that turbo as well . The same way, soon as SP wrapped up other projects and got on the Z they reached 1000whp quickly and raised the bar with the 6mts to like 1250whp i believe...
Impressive and amazing work, but on the other hand i am not suprised what this shops have accomplished based on the experience they had with the 2jz, they've simply seen it all, form the performance aspect, the drama aspect, legality of business, proof of work, customer service aspect, fab skillz, etc...

Very True but WOTM was also a huge Supra Tuner here in the U.S. and other then offering parts for the G35 on their website, I have heard nothing from them since Ryan had his 1250whp Supra.

 

WOTM is actively working on dropping the 6spd 1/4 record for all cars......fastest supra 6spd is a 7.91 I believe (SW has it)...fastest overall 6spd is a viper, think its like a 7.89...they are reallllly close.

I am excited to see SP go an 8 in the next few weeks...

And I'm sure all the shops have things going on this year

There are a couple from different shops running 8s now. I think there are 3 that run high 8s.
