People With Turbos or Supercharger with non built motor.
every kit has their fair share of blow motors, he is saying that cause he blew his motor w/ the greddy kit
a basic built motor is not as expensive as people may think, the FP S1 shortblock is only $3500, plus a $1500 core charge if you wanna keep your motor
GTM offers a very similar package, both of these motors can get you well into the 500rwhp+ easily

I've been running 9psi of boost on the stock block for almost 4 years now. No problem whatsoever and I beat the crap out of it every chance I get. About 60,000 boosted miles, it's my daily driver for the warmer months. I'm in the process of getting a built block and boosting up to about 18 psi. Should be done by next week. We'll see how that goes, but I'm confident. Most of it is in the tuning.
anyone know any response for my concern regarding what i wrote before:
so you build a motor for almost 5k and then buy a turbo for 6k or used if you lucky for 3k. end result is about 10k with tune. just buying the turbo kit with tune is kinda pushing it for me. im finishing up college but i prlly wont be able to get a new car until grad school is finished which is about 4 years away. I still wanna go F/I though...

380whp for 5 years on a college kids "income" isn't smart.
You need enough money behind you when you're done with your setup to cover your *** in a worst case scenario.
That being said... I'm about 350whp for 3 years, but only about 18,000 miles. I drive it on the weekends and something else I drive daily... so It should last me forever like that. '04 with 29,600 miles. I'd never drive a non-biult FI car everyday... it'd fall apart whether you beat on it or not... but that's just IMHO...

ive had zero issues with my motor and boost since i''ve had it, probaly about 3,000 miles total w/boost but yeah i would def suggest having a min like 3-5k for back up incase something should go wrong

no thats stupid.
sorry about mispellings, i was in hurry
so bascially you need about 6k to spend and another 4k as back up if anything goes wrong?
im getting 50/50 with this debate.
on one end some boosted people say that "people under estimate the motor"
on the other end opposite
