vortech DIY

is there a good vortech DIY?
i'm contemplating doing it myself... to save money.. and i want to know what the installation entails.

Search. The hardest part is probably tapping the oil return line.

thanks.... i'm considering doing it myself... i called GTM today and i got quoted 1600 for the install...!

if tapping an oil pan is the hardest part do it yourself save the money and gain the experiance.

ya but for $1600you have the confidence if something goes wrong, you have someone to point a finger at.

There are no less than 3 vortech DIY'r on my350z that are have all sorts of problems.

Not sayin that you will fall into the category, but it took me over a year to get my DIY where it is today.

Buy the V-3 and you don't have to tap the oil pan. I am very happy with the V-3 and I have about 3500 miles on it. I paid about 900 to have a smaller tuner shop install it. I was ok with everything except for the FMU. It looked intimidating and I didn't have anyone else around when I wanted to install it to bounce ideas off of.

That 900 also included installing all the gauages and dual Widebands....
