Procharged Dyno Results
Well, I've had the car back for quite some time now. I get an occasional check engine light due to bank 1 and bank 2 running rich. No big deal since I bought an OBD2 reader so I can read them and reset them immediately.
At the track I ran a 13.150 @109.25 mph with a 2.1s 60' time. I can't seem to get traction with stock tires/ stock pressures. I'm going to get some wider rims with drag radials and hopefully I'll get low in the 12s.
My original dyno showed me making 380rwhp. My latest dyno shows only 350rwhp, but the car is running rich up top causing power to drop off at 6000rpm instead of rising like it originally did. If I would have reset my ECU before the dyno run I would have came up with much better numbers I believe (before I did an ECU reset my fastest track time was 13.6s, after an easy ECU reset (brake pedal method) I did back to back 13.1s).
Check out my dynos at http://www.kptechnologies.com/dynos/dyno.htm

Re: Procharged Dyno Results
Have you checked to see if the belt might be slipping as it's wearing. There was an ATI Procharger at the Central FL Dyno Day that was having this problem (he lost ~100rwhp)... Just a thought.
The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

nice pics... the P/C looks nearly stock in there. i have always like the beltdrive of that system....
a word of caution, that a/f reading (above 5K) is a lean scene (aka ticking timebomb, to use words from another).... there's no way the a/f should be that high.... (unless peak number dynochart is all that matters)... id suggest pulling ALOT more of timing up top , as your idea "shoot for" numbers should be in the 11.25-11.75 range (12 max!!)
im not trying to shoot on ya, just trying to lend advice i have learned in my recent dyno tunes (had a few myself...... and am piulling good HP numbers with a/f under 11.5 at peak)
let me know what the tuner tells you...

Re: Procharged Dyno Results
Yeah, my charts don't look good at all
I've talked with Doug about it and TS is going to reflash the ECU to add more fuel up top. The biggest problem is that I don't have an a/f gauge installed! So, I don't know exactly whats going on, or how much the ECU reset helped. What gauges do you two reccomend?
Thanks,

Re: Procharged Dyno Results
belts slipping? I guess I didn't include that picture! One belt 'loosened up' and BROKE already. Its kinda a long story, but basically the set screws in the tensioner came loose, and before I knew it all my teeth were gone off of the belt. By the time I got to the place to pick up the new belts the belt broke! I now have a nice 'battle scar' on my hood lining!

you know, you could get the split second box.... (im not sure fuel is needed, moreso than timing to be cut....)... give grubbs a call; they are retrofitting the SS box (with r-4 software) to their ati installs now...
this is fully adjustable, to YOUR car, and can add or remove fuel, as needed (i suggest it bro)
having the TS reflash will get an approx. fuel/ignition change, based on values that may NOT be right for you.
the SS box is like 500 or so, with tuning extra
http://www.splitsec.com
currently, i have the boost (and vac.) gauge, and the fuel pressure gauge installed. I have an extra bung welded (upstream) into my craw cats, for the hookup of the AEM wideband meter...... personally, i think all three are a neccesity, and will have em all running once the triple gauge pod arrives (this week im told).
good luck and keep an eye on things....

Es,
The SS box can't add fuel for me, as I don't have/want an aux fuel pump. Anyways, if I went that route it would waste the $1500 I spent upgrading my entire fuel system / injectors.
To be honest, I'm not sure how timing plays into things. Doug told me they backed my timing off to 19 degrees, but I have no idea what that means! Any help here would be appreciated. My ECU will probably go back out to TS next week, and they will tune it off of my dyno sheets. They can see exactly where more fuel (or less timing maybe) is needed. Once they lean up top problem is fixed I'll be able to lower my pressure all across the line to get my a/f to 11.5 constant.
Thanks,
Kevin

gotcha....
keep me (us) posted....
i forgot about the fuel revamping you have....
i think you'll be more impressed with the setup, when the fueling issues are fixed!!
now, the mirror dip-down mod..... (kidding)

i hope to have copies of my fuel and ignition maps this week; then i can share my setup w/ ya (as of now, i am not sure how much timing is pulled, and where)... i dont have a laptop handy (if i did, i could d/l the maps, and drive and see a/f and boost, in realtime)
more soon, i promise

That a/f curve scared the snot out of me.... You should definitely not be pushing the car... Be careful buddy...
I think the problem is that you are not seeing a continuing rise in fuel pressure as originally intended by the aeromotive DFMU that's supplied with the kit (assuming you are still using it). I would try to get to the bottom of this (i.e. fuel pressure through the rpm band) first before deciding what it is exactly that you need TS to flash into the ecu. If your DFMU works as it should (if you do in fact see a rise in FP), than you simply need to add some injector duration on the top end (where you begin to lean out).

Re: Procharged Dyno Results
Gurgen,
I hardly ever drive the car, let alone drive it hard! I never installed the FMU that came with the Procharger. I had Crawford Z install larger injectors (PE 380cc,), a larger fuel pump, and a return type regulated fuel system. TS was supposed to be able to create a perfect mapping for this setup (which it looks like they did from the first dyno, although no A/F was availible). I got a few 'too rich' cels and I believe that the ECU is trying to 'fix' itself. I'm not too sure though. I hope to buy an a/f guage this week and have it installed this weekend. Then I'll know a lot more about what its actually doing on the road.
