what kind of engine management should i get??
Hello everyone, I am looking to step up to either a piggy-back or stand alone
fuel management system. My car is an 06 mt with a jwt tt kit. forged internals upgraded fuel pump, injectors etc. any pros and cons towards this purchase would be helpful.

I am using an HKS F-CON V Pro. As George noted, Haltech is good. Cass007 is using the ViPec V88 on his 350Z. I have seen some guys who swear by Motec. It's my understanding that the Utec is not quite as nice as any of these, but it is cheaper.
Another option is to re-flash your ECU with the Uprev Osiris or Cobb software.
Search the My350Z forum, and you will find information on all of this stuff.

All this has happened before, and all this will happen again....
I think we need an "EMS for Noobs" sticky, kind of like SlideFox's "Forced Induction for Noobs". Might be helpful. Maybe somebody who has experience playing with the F-Cons, Haltechs and Utec can post something up since those seem to be the most popular choices. If they also know something about the ViPecs and Motecs, even better.

I also run a ViPEC V-88 it is nice because it has a few features that some of the others listed don't have like flat shift, traction control that works well, launch control(most have this) and it runs the drive by wire throttle itself it dosent need to piggy back off the stock ECU for throttle control like most other "stand alones" for our platform. However it comes down to what your tuner is comfortable with. There is not much use to buying a F-con if no one in your area tunes it. Find a tuner you trust with the amount of work you have done you must have a trusted shop you use? Ask them what they feel most comfortable with, if you buy the best ecu on the planet and they don't like to tune it or can't tune it, things might not work out very good for you.

What is your tuner comfortable using? IMO finding a reputable tuner then letting them do their thing is the best way to go... If you try and get them to use something they're not used to on your car the results might not be that great
I'm personally going with Osiris, but the guy who tunes my car is a genius with it. I've got the same set up as you minus the forged internals
Check out this thread. The guy had a Utec and ended up ditching it for Osiris:
