HKS CAMP2 display Questions

For those with experience:

What is the best way to display the HKS CAMP2 on a coupe with Nav... to the Nav screen, to an aftermarket stereo or other?

I'm looking to get a CAMP2 with FCON V-Pro on my build...
and I am curious what the best option is since I'll have to buy the DD finisher + Stereo to display it... or buy the display by-pass & toggle switch deal in order to get it to go to the OEM Navi set-up.

Basically, I'm curious where to mount the additional hardware / toggle switches, etc... what is involved, what options I have... what additional hardware I'd ahve to purchase along side the CAMP2.

Thank you in advance for any and all help!

PM Green Goblin or citymonkey. They both run this setup and will have good advice.

There are a few routes that you can go, I personally used the oem nav screen. If that is the case you need to create/buy inputs for the nav screen as it does not come with any. Tv and nav 2 go is the module that I have which allows you to splice into the factor nav wiring to add external inputs to your screen. The kit comes with a toggle switch that you flip to override the nav signal... Mine gets a bit more complicated because I wanted multiple sources such as a dvd player and camp 2 display.

If you decide to go with a aftermarket screen it will plug right into one of the input channels. Then you would need to buy the screen / finisher/ and jdm ac controlls.

also I relocated my nav brain under the passenger seat to hide all my electonics in the upper glove box cubby. That was a lot of work but well worth it IMO.
I mounted my toggle switch inside the center console.

Nice! Got a pic of where you mounted the toggle switch by chance?... how much did the TVandNav2Go module set you back?

I got a OEM Nav Screen, that I added working with AV Electronic module. I say if you have a Nav system already do the module. Adding a screen where the headunit goes is not a good idea to me. You will have to take your eyes off the road to much to watch the CAMP2.

I'll post a pic of my setup soon

Awesome, please do post some pics!

Do you have anything else spidered in as well (DVD player, Back-up cam, etc)?

Also... anyone know of a way to port Ipod output to the Nav Screen?...

I have two Video inputs with AV Electronic module, but I'm only using one for the Camp2.

Here you go....Use the stock nav screen for the Camp2 and GPS...or you can also install another monitor and use both.

^ This guy... On a serious note do you have any issues with 1,3,5 gear shifts hitting your hand on the extra's?

can you select what info you want displayed on the CAMP 2 ... kind of like the GTR or does it only have a couple preset views. I don't need to micro-manage, just 2 or 3 of the most pivotal guages (e.g. pull over and shut the car off before you need to buy a new engine).

You can have 6 guages displayed at a single time, you can upgrade to the i/f unit and buy sensors for the more important guages such as boost, oil pressure etc....

My setup is almost like XKR's
Except that I have a aftermarket navi screen in my cubby
and 7" LCD in my DD kit and can have it displayed on both screens.

The bottom screen is the main screen but can have it output to the screen in the Navi
for more line of sight.

damn man, HKS needs to make one single unit rather than a million compartmentalized devices... where the hell do you keep all the boxes stashed?

F-Con + I/F unit + EVC + DLI ... etc... that's a lot of little bricks floating around to tuck away

It's only 2 boxes

Main unit i have behind dd din and the if unit I have it tucked under the passenger most vent there is a little cavity there between glove compartment and door. All the sensors get wired to the IF unit and tehn one wire from IF unit to main HKS Camp 2 Brain.

As far as the HKS Fcon Vpro that's why I didn't get it too many add on's
and got me the Haltech
