Also....if you are getting head lift at the hp levels you were running....move on to another shop....unless the shop advised you to use better parts...and for whatever reason you did not...
L19 & HKS head gasket is the way to go. If anyone is looking to save money on a build....this is the last area to look at.

Japtrix is closer, and will take good car of Eric. I know they put on his fuel return system, but they didn't do the long block build. Roger hates, hates Cometic headgaskets and would have fought tooth and nail to avoid using them. In fact, he too recommends HKS headgaskets and isn't even so keen on using HR headgaskets for my next build because he has not seen enough information on their long term survivability on high HP builds.
Hopefully we see more long term data before I make my final decision on my new build... I am very interested in the HR coolent flow pattern, but I don't want to risk a blown head gasket. I'd like to see how GTM's new autobahn beast holds up. That is using the HR head gaskets I beleive (I'll double check and change this post if it is not).
EDIT: It is indeed using the HR head gasket with the L19 head studs. Here is the link:
