When is the JWT TT commin out?

Does anyone know if the Jim Wolf technology twin turbo kit will be comming out any time soon. Also does anyone know if we will be able to change the dual intercoolers to one big intercooler?

When I spoke to them about a month ago they told me the kit will be out by the fall. I also asked them if their kit will only have dual intercoolers or can we choose to have one big one and they said only two intercoolers. They will not change that.

Two intercoolers would be very beneficial on the G35's though. With the way the stock bumper openings sit, to get proper airflow you really need two intercoolers that are offset a bit. One big intercooler (like we have with the stillen stage 2 supercharger) has most of the frontal area blocked by the bumper cover. I know it still get some airflow as the air swirls behind teh cover, but JWT's solution is a better one, imho.

I can't wait for that kit to come out! Wether or not I heavily mod a g35 for personal use depends on their ECU setup.
I have their ECU in my other car right now and it kicks ***. There haven't been any issues with their programming and there aren't any of the disadvantages that some of the other ECU's out there have either. I have a feeling their ECU (if they do release it) will completely change the 350Z/G35 aftermarket, especially the forced induction segment....

JWT has a good reputation with mods for Nissans. I'm also looking forward to their TT kit + ECU upgrade. I only wish they would give some update of their progress. It's also expected that they would be CARB certified which many of the FI kits out there are not.

I'm not sure they are able to hack the ECU yet. I have my fingers crossed here.

I ran into a guy that works there on a maling list I am on. This is what he had to say:

"well the jwt kit is coming together nicely and should be out shortly, and yes we are shooting for carb legal and no mods, not even for the intercoolers."

I asked him for details but it wasn't anything he could release yet. And by no mods he was referring to body/chassis mods.

What kind of gains are we supposed to see from the ECU? I am very interested in this and I am sure alot of other people would be too.

Good question, been wondering if its ever going to be released. If they do I am sure it will be top notch. If you are wanting a turbo kit you should check out the Power Enterprise kit.

What size turbo's does the JWT have.. I know they say 530BB (or some size like that), but are those TD05-18g's? or slightly smaller? Here is what they say on their website about it...

While the package is targeted at 400HP, the 530BB turbos are designed for 530HP, offering a lot more potential with internal engine mods.

Anyone know what size injectors JWT offers with this kit?? Power Enterprise offers 380CC DENSO's.. (I love DENSO's_

I DO like the JWT kit ( 2fmic's), but not 100% sure on the size of the BB turbo's..

There are about 5 TT kit's I am attracted too.. anyone have a pref. other than JWT's?

IIRC, they are Garrett based turbos. I'm not sure of the specs.

Re: When is the JWT TT commin out?

I received this email the other day...

"Dear Shaun,

Thank you for your interest in JWT products.

The system is still in the development stage and we hope to have it available in the late fall, it would be for the G35 Coupe 6-speed only. We may in the future offer this system for the sedans, maybe sometime next year. Our target price is in the high 6K range, and the target HP gain is in the 400hp measured at the flywheel. We are also working to get this CARB certified (50 state legal) for 2003 and some 2004 models."

That kinda sucks for sedan owners like me. oh well...i'll invest that money for now.

Shaun

Thanks for the update. Please keep the rest of us in the loop with any more information that they send you, although this apparently no longer applies to you. Thanks!
Anyone know what this kit will come with as far as BOVs, etc? I'm assuming the high 6K price tag will not include all of the bells and whistles? What else is needed to get this system up and running right?

Re: When is the JWT TT commin out?

Rob75, JWT's kit is not comign with a blowoff valve. Instead they said they are using two bypass valves, one for each turbo. So the air will be recirculated.

Re: When is the JWT TT commin out?

Did they give a reason for using bypass recirculation instead of blowoff?

In Theory, practice and theory are the same.

I think it's something to do getting it CARB certified. Something about not venting gases to atmosphere.

Re: When is the JWT TT commin out?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we're talking intake charge here which is just a compressed air, what does it have to do with CARB?
