At least you paid with paypal and should be able to get some money back.
If the seller didn't tell you anything about the damage its just plain fraud and I would be ALL over his ***

This is not the case with the wheel shown. The impeller has damage that extends from the center hub all the way to the tips which means that it was foreign object damage ( maybe a rock or a screw or something ). It's very common when no filter or screen is present.

I can't believe that ATI recommends NOT using a filter....that is one of THE most ridiculous things I've ever heard and makes me wonder who thought of something so stupid. A good large filter would barely cause any restriction at all, and will protect the impeller from such cases as this.

Figured I would file a claim with paypal. Nothing will prob come out of it but what do I have to lose. Paypal says they cant guarantee I will get anything back but will compromise his usage on paypal - They said to get back to them in 10 days or so. Also - I should hear from procharger in a couple of weeks or so with the exact condition of the blower and exact cost of repair - I will post up as soon as I hear

Just got this from paypal not even 30 min from filing the claim:

Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund.

Yup, I've heard that before...and technically it makes sense. Paypal doesn't deal with the details of products...just the black and white parts of the transaction. Did you recieve it? YES. Is it the product that was being sold? YES. Done deal unfortunately.

Hard to say but I kind of understand - If it were an ebay purchase it might have been different only because ebay is owned by them. I think they have only so much control when it comes to purchases on other sites that are not affiliated. They just handle the purchase with no strings attached

Man people are soo fvcked up today. I bought some turbo gauges before I knew anything about it and in the end I got shafted. I was missing the sending units and had NO idea. Well I put the turbo build on hold (thank god) sold the gauges to somebody on my350z.com and had to pay some money back so he could buy the senders. I got fvcked. The guy I got them from told me to live with it.... I never wanted to hurt someone so bad in my life.

Ninja edit: The guy I sold the gauges to was on here. Here's the feedback.

I bought the Defi gauges w/innovate W/B that Darren purchased from(pm me to find out) on this site. When the gauges arrived they were not complete but Darren stood behind the product that he sold even though he was short changed from the previous seller and refunded part of my purchase and we came to an agreement for a portion of the parts.

I can't say enough good words about Darren's integrity for this action!! It speaks volumes to the type of person he is, thanks Darren for the amicable solution and good luck with your project.

That's why I always fund my paypal transactions with my Visa card. If paypal drags their feet, visa will refund the money in full up to 60 days after any transaction, all you need to do is provide a tracking number proving you returned it...works every time for online transactions.

Ever notice that the default fund source is always bank and they ask you three times if you're sure you want to use a visa instead? They know visa has them by the nuts.

^ That is good to know for the future - It is not fair to the honest sellers on this site for me not to buy like this anymore but good to know there is a way to safeguard against sellers like exp_626 - Its people like this that make it hard for honest people to sell their stuff - We should all work to get this guy banished - Spread the word any chance you get

That sucks.

And one of the reasons i would never buy a used FI kit. Sure, you may be able to save a few bucks, but you'll never the get the guarantee or peace of mind from using a brand new kit. Its definitely worth the extra few $k.
