mountin da BOV

where did you mount yours.. before the MAF I.E. charge pipe or after the MAF on the intack side?

From: Ft. Benning, TX; Atlanta, GA; Shelby, NC
Mine is mounted on the charge pipe.
So the order to the engine is intercooler, bov, MAF, throttle body.

Wherever you put it, you better put it before the MAF or else the MAF won't be reading correctly. Think about it... air is goin through the MAF then out the BOV...not good.

Post intercooler and as far from the MAF as possible.

very true.. however, when u go full standalone there will be no MAF correct?

you always need a maf. an ecu or ems or whatever computer you use still needs the maf to read the air flow..

It's possible to have just a MAP (instead of a MAF) but you'll need one or the other. MAF based tuning is usually more 'streetable' than MAP, but either work ok as long as the EMS supports one of them.

In fact the UTEC is unique in that it used both MAF and MAP for FI (switches between them in/out of boost).
