Get the VB upgrade... not doing it when going FI at your WHP goals is just retarded... like leaving the stock clutch in on a 6mt but much worse. The stock VB won't hold more than 350 for any prolonged period. Even at 350 you're pushing the limits and likely to cause damage.

The transmission upgrade is actually a huge change. I went with VB, TC & Cooler on my 5AT and the car is sideways when auto-shifting to second on turns. When in manual-mode... it chirps 2nd & 3rd... every gear throws you in your seat when accelerating...

Btw, still on stock engine currently... difficult deciding on which FI system to go with for AutoX.

Recommendation:
When you upgrade the VB & TC... have them increase the Stall RPM also.

I originally thought of doing it when my tranny eventually gave so that I could just rebuild the whole thing in one shot but since a lot of people on this forum are convinced that it extends the life of the tranny then I may as well just do it now.

Now I just need to buy decently priced tranny fluid...my local dealer sells them for $18 a quart! LOL.

I have a similar setup. going 15k strong with Osiris. Anyways, make sure to get a the GTM pulley mod or comparable belt slip mod. The vortech configuration has alot of slip no matter how hard you tighten the belt.
