my screw clamps hold 20psi
detonation can cause blown rods, head gaskets etc etc...

I rather run a little rich than run lean...

You quoted what I said then repeated it detonation CAN cause blown motors but is is not the ONLY cause. Many people have bent rods and blown head gaskets these engines with no detonation stock parts have their limits.

Congrats on your install, i have my tn kit on its way right now. Did you diy? I'm thinking about installing myself. I have an 06' revup and am hoping i don't have those fitment issues. I know i have to shim the engine mount in order for certain pipes to clear. Anyone have experience with 06? I heard our engines are a bit lower than the other years, which is why the pipes don't fit well. Tuning your engine by sending in ecu or tuning yourself? I'm interseted in knowing what i can and can't do on my own.

Vegas...sending out your ECU for a reflash should be your last resort. I recommend UpRev as I went with it. If nothing else, you could go with a Utec Controller.

Ya I heard uprev is good by jsprinkle too. I'm deciding between that and aem fic piggyback. With the wire harness it's about 1000 including the tune. I hear the utec is old school. But it might be the sales pitch. I know gtm does uprev tuning but they seem too busy to give a crap. I tried calling them twice about a turbo installation and never received a call back. That's why I decided to do it myself next week.

Issues that im aware of - a/c line melting, ic piping fitment, and some of the turbos in the older kits failing. Anyone else have anything else to add to list? i ask because im halfway done installing my kit and i want to try and address issues before i finish and bolt everything down. also of note, i hear the reflash isnt reliable, which isnt an issue for me cause it doesnt work with 06 anyways and im getting a piggyback or osiris. Thanks for any input.

As for the a/c lines, have then double wrapped with heat wrap or move them all together. The line that runs by the downpipe and under the turbo will be ones I speak of.

as for the tune, I would recommed UpRev. My tuner uses it and the Utec but found that the UpRev to be more user friendly, not to mention without the two computers fighting for control (as with a piggyback) I gained more power and torque and find it to better tune as for power delivery...
