Wasn't this JUST posted in another section? And yes the HKS SSQ is the best one.

I hate the way the HKS sounds. It sounds like somebody shot or choked a bird. Go to www.blowoffvalves.com and listen to them there.

Re: Best Sounding Blow-off Valve

the hks one is the one that sounds like a high pitched bird chirping. the greddy one sounds like the one in the fast and furious movie from the eclipse. The blitz one souns like a big gust of air...not that high pitched. I really haven't heard any of the other ones but my preference is still the HKS one.

Re: Best Sounding Blow-off Valve

I could be wrong but I thought that there was an issue with our MAF sensors requiring you to route the blowoff back to the intake. Which effectively silences the blowoff valve sound. I noticed this after hearing a couple of forced induction z's and I really didnt hear near as much of a blowoff sound as say a supra.

Re: Best Sounding Blow-off Valve

Most modern cars are going to prefer the BOV air routed back in. I ran into this with my '97 GSX. You can vent to atmosphere with only a minor concern of idle qaulity and get that loud as hell *PFFFTWEEEW" in the process. It never did create an issue with my GSX. I re-routed the charge back in because I thought it was giving me idle issues, when in fact the idle issue was caused by some hairline cracks in the valve cover. NOTE: Never have a gorilla (me) torque something as small as 14 inch-pounds without a newton meter. lol
