A/F Wideband - Is it really useful ? ? ?

Just curious to what other people's thoughts are on a wideband A/F gauge and whether its really useful.

I've had one in my car for about a year, and really haven't paid much attention to it and am considering whether to get rid of it or not as it doesn't match my 60mm DEFI gauges i just installed.

I mean where it really counts is when your under WOT, but my eyes certaintly aren't going to be glancing down at the dash why i'm racing or taking off, and most tuners i've spoken to say if you car goes lean while WOT, it basically too late anyways.

I'm sure it has its usefulness, but not sure if it is in my case as a daily driver car.

What are your thoughts?

Too bad DEFI doesn't make a nice 60mm A/F to match my CR gauges.

I would not get rid of your A/F gauge. It saved me when I lost a vacuum hose going to my FMU. Without my A/F gauge I would have lost my motor no doubt. I would not get rid of it.

Get rid of your A/F? You're crazy. If I had a choice of only one type of gauge I could use in a FI car, A/F would be the one.

If I did not have mine in I would have never know why my car was bogging so much, found out that the sensor had died

It is the one gauge I would keep( or oil pressure?) but if you never use it its not doing you much good!! If you go lean your motor dosent blow up 100% of the time you might get lucky. If you see the gauge go lean you can back off the throttle or know that you can't get on it hard until you get things checked out.

I would keep it...maybe move it somwhere where it is more so in your peripheral vision? I put mine where the infiniti analog clock used to be...I can see the values out of the corner of my eye while driving w/o having to take my eyes off the road. Just a thought.
