DYNO

Do different dyno's put out differant #'s or does it depend on the coditions.

where are my GTC's this time? well the fronts are here but where the hell are the rears? o i almost forgot. they forgot to ship them. this is really pissing me off now.

I dynoed the other day on my GT-C's and i got MAX 218 hp and MAX 215 torque i do not know if this is good or bad need some info. I was on a dynojet dyno. Temp 82.8F

That's what I got on my 03 Sedan AT with plenum, stillen exhaust and injen intake. a:f was avg of 13.5:1

1. Your heavy wheels are hurting your hp and tq numbers, for sure.
2. Do you drive a coupe or a sedan (sig only says 6MT)
3. Did you use SAE corrections on the dynojet?
4. The dynojet *might* not be calibrated properly...
5. The numbers seem low, do you have any other mods?

Since tires are the greatest loss item [>5%] in translating flywheel to rear wheel power, this is the greatest source of variation
[brand,size, inflation, rear alignment, temperature].
Measure the heat rise in drive train components and you will find the different losses: [diff 3%], drive shaft 1-2%, half shafts and bearings, gears 1% per mess, clutch, slight rear brake drag, fluid frictions, etc.

Hey Q,

Could you please post your reference to the statement regarding the tires being the greatest driveline loss in a dyno setting? (greater than 5% of total losses)
