Can I please get temp mod powers to ban the fool already? I'd also like to enlist the help of the Florida G35 CSI team to track the idiot down so we can laugh at him publicly and put his posts + personal details on /b/ for them to clown on him too!

I saw all the recent posts at the bottom of the thread and didn't even bother to look at the dates of OP and subsequent ones

As I was reading I thought it was current as well. With all of the N00bs bumping old threads with irrelevant posts I have to check the dates now before posting anything!!

Well, that guy just misused the product. It was said on the instruction that these e-ram only work on small engines less than 5.0L. The smaller the engine, the more effective it is.
A feedback from a guy running this electric supercharger on 1.6L engine would give us a better judgment.

Engine displacement is irrelevant. These little electric fans do nothing to compress the intake charge--compression is necessary to create any supercharging effect.

Your arguments are full of fail.

So you are you saying that if they try it out on a 3 cyl Geo Metro engine it would give us G owners 6 cyl 3.5 l engines a better idea of what this thing could do? I do not think .3 liters would make much of a difference. Like above said FULL OF FAIL.

Engine displacement really plays an important roll regarding boost level. I didn't say that these electric superchargers (E-ram style) will make any significant boost. However, they will help deliver more air than a small engine can breath in naturally. That is how these little things help to increase mid power but a very minor increment in high end power. Simple math is this:
Max airflow by engine = X (cfm)
Air flow push in by e-ram = Y (cfm)
Power gain = (Y - X) * factorF
where factorF = fuel mixture + many other factors

So don't just hate them because 99/100 other people hate them.

Maybe he had it installed backwards

That is just a quick explanation how power is evaluated. If you feel you can do better then go a head and explain it clearer than everybody here can learn something. If you can't then don't just stand there and laugh because it just humiliates yourself.

This rating has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the capabilities of the blower in a restricted environment such as an engine. In this situation, the blower has to be able to push the air such that pressure is build (PSI) and these fans are not capable of such. Don't let their marketing spin confuse you. When it comes to boosting an engine, it's PSI that is important. Increased CFM for the engine is a byproduct of having an unrestricted intake and exhaust. It is not something you're looking for in a boost solution.
In other words:

Engine CFM + Fan CFM = Engine CFM (or worse, since the Fan will actually introduce a net intake-pressure restriction)

Lots of REAL physics explained here:

Do your research before you regurgitate marketing scams here, please.
