IS it ok to run stock bumper with a turbo set up?..help

Not at the moment but I will be taking the bumper off soon, so I will snap a few for you. The bumper does need to be modified a little for the intercoolers to fit.

I have been running my TN kit (but with a Garrett in place of the Turbonectics turbo) for 6 months behind the OEM bumper with the fans that came with the kit. I have been on 3 seperate trips over 400 miles in each direction, spent a day at the 1/4 mile track and even on a photoshoot lasting over two hours long idling. No overheating...plus its barely noticable.

Here it is behind the stock bumper.

i have been running the stock bumper and a fmic for over two years. works well. you'd be surprised at how much air actually passes through that stock bumper.

I’m running the Nismo bumper (essentially the same restrictions as the OEM bumper) with my PowerLab kit…so far, so good… I think I did get heat soaked badly on a humid day at the drag strip though.

I ran stock bumper on mine for over a year. No issues at all. When I switched to the proper bumper I did see a drop in intake temps though, which gave me a few extra ponies.

Stock bumper is very okay and an aerodynamic, wind tunnel tested OEM part. Anybody who does not use the OEM bumper that participates in this thread must accept the OEM bumper as their bumper of choice and can not get out of it, no matter what. Retroactive as soon as I say OEM. OEM.

I do log my temps and they are on average a few degrees cooler with my K2 remix. I think it really depends on the inter cooler. For those running the JWT (twin coolers), obviously the OEM bumper is best. For those like me with a standard front mount, the OEM blocks at least half of it.

No. Okay? I think you have ricer tendencies. Like I said, anybody who does not use the OEM bumper that participates in this thread must accept the OEM bumper as their bumper of choice and can not get out of it, no matter what. Retroactive as soon as I say OEM. OEM.

Tom from SP is using the biggest intercooler possible I believe so that one extends across the intake ducts on the OEM bumper so it has plenty of air flow.

Cool, but some of us like to retain a crash bar so it's not possible to have such a huge FMC. Mine is as big as possible and still sit behind an unmodified crash bar, so much of it is blocked.

Is that a problem? Not really... but does it work better with the K2 bumper? Yep, my logs say so.
