Really you need to get out more at least 4 I know of have made over 550whp. Not many survive long at over 550whp.
detonation is the #1 killer of stock rods. of course there are physical limitations as well, but as posted above there are MANY examples of far exceeding the "recommended" power. If those guys were to ping, even once bye bye motor.
And everything I mentioned above contributes to no detonation.

All that being said I would not recommend anyone that dosent fully expect to blow your engine up to try to run that kind of power. My tuner is a good friend of mine and he was not comfortable with tuning it at all i pressured him into it most tuners wouldnt attempt to go for that kind of power on a customer car because the chances of a failure are very high. We didn't tune it to make 600whp we tuned it to avoid detonation and ended up with those kind of numbers.

It's not necessary even for 1000+. The sunk sleeve is not the fault of the block, it's who installed it or Darton. Anyway, that SFR kit is only $6,799.99 for the tuner system without EMS or fuel system. Very good price.
As long as it's bar and plate they all the same.

You have to understand that a lot of people who see a sunk sleeve/spun bearing/blown motor AUTOMATICALLY blame the VQ and one of the most overstated statement is that "It wasn't mean for forced induction BLA BLA BLA" when the same exact motor/block was single turbo from the factory in Japan from 2001-2003.
I would have no problem adjusting the kit or making some custom fabrication myself with help to make it fit. That's what friends are for.
The guy in the thread didn't seem to be technically inclined and Tim did try to come through for him.
For the money it's an unbeatable deal. Cheaper than a 10k kit from SP which is vastly similar.

I have nothing against SFR or the kit. I just thought it is something he should be aware of if planning to purchase the kit. Like I said Tim has always seemed like a stand up guy and i am sure he would take care of you if you buy his kit. +1 on taking to str8dum1 and seeing what he has to say about his experiences with the kit although I think his kit is far from the standard kit.
