finaally i received them tonight by UPS. Rods look and feel VERY durable and compared to the stock rods i understand why the stocks keep snapping! well here's the pics..enjoy =)

Is there still a group buy for the rods and pistons? How long did it take for you to receive you rods and pistons after ordering? Thanks and good luck on your engine build.

Well basically i was one of the last ones on the list which is why i think i didn't have to wait that long. about 2 weeks. I'm assuming everyone early on in the list had to wait forever and a day because they make their mass quantities upon order. So i think i got in right when they finished making them. Of what i know right now all orderes have already been shipped.

I don't think the group buy is active anymore, but if you call Pauter, they should have some excess left fromt he batch. Talk to sharif on my350z.com sn: gq_626 as i believe he can still give you a killer deal.

This pic that sharif took always remind me of why i decided to shell out 1k on rods =)

Wow!!! That's a big difference from the stock rods!!! What do you plan to boost your PE up to?

well honestly it all depends on the tuning...i'm gonna be saving up for an HKS F-CON V PRO and that ecu is a pretty penny.

Basically my plan is to install the turbo with no built engine or anything and run it straight out of the box with stock boost from the wastegate. I'm going to buy a new block soon ...build that at the machine shop while they do all work i'm gonna be happy riding my car until they finish. I estimate the time i scrounge up enough money to buy the stuff and the amount of time they'll actually take building it. It going to be well until next year will i be able to run the block. All that time is too long for me to install the turbo..hehe. SO basically i'm paying for a turbo install in Nov. that ultimately will be taken off again. Waste of money? maybe...but i already bought my kit and i can't wait =) and if the stock block suffices after my built block is done...i'm almost certain that i will be able to sell my stock block easily
