I had three rebuilds of my TN turbo...eventually threw it out and replaced it with a Garrett. TN customer service was a nightmare.

As for everything else...most definately, heat wrap everything!!! I would even wrap your hoses where the pipes are close to because of the heat. (Including your A/C lines!!!!)

I am not running meth and dont plan to.

Get a great tune...I am using UpRev. If you are not rebuilding, make sure you keep your boost under 6lbs to be safe. Sure there are some that are running 8-10lbs, but since this is your first, keep it safe until you can build your motor for more reliability and strength.

I have had no issues with the exception of heat eating a/c lines and the lower radiator hose. (that is, with the exception of the turbo)

also, the "cold" pipe leading to the intake...I had a small tab welded on so that it kept the pipe off of the pulleys. It was always close, but sometimes it did rub. The tab was attached to the lower fan shrowd to keep it pulled forward away from the pulleys.

Here are my build threads and follow up threads for your info if needed.

Thanks for another great write response to my initial post. I'll be looking at those threads for sure, much appreciated!

Is there a specific brand of heat wrap I should be looking for.. width, lengths, anything would be a big help.. I'm not really too sure what I should be looking for and how much I should get. I am just getting the feeling I want alot, haha.

The tuner I plan on going with is the only guy in New Brusnwick Canada with a dyno and gets a good amount of business in there, but its all across the board from imports to muscle. I'm not sure if he's had much experience with UTEC, but I was thinking about UPREV before. Did you have many other mods on your car when you described it to uprev? And would you recommend them for me even up here in Canada with no local tuner around. I heard that people are a bitten taken back by getting Osirus/Uprev for tuning on FI applications.

Thannks again..

its just not that great of an EMS, the haltech is far superior and the tune is the most crucial part of the build

as for the heatwrap...I just went to jegs and bought their standard 3in wrap. They have larger widths, but it would be hard to manage around the smaller pipes. sorry, it was headers heat wrap that I bought.
