Re: NOS anyone?
Nobody on this forum. We too are looking for someone who's done it or will do it. Why don't you do it and tell us wasup.

Re: NOS anyone?
well i havent got my G yet, wont be here till june. but i do have experience with NOS. i had an 80 shot single fogger on a 93 integra, ran great but crashed the car a month later. also installed the 80 shot into my turbo mr2, did a 12.89, engine held up, tranny didnt. i think when the G is here im going to add 50 shot
Re: NOS anyone?
I installed a ZEX wet kit in my G35coupe 6MT. I am currently using 55 hp jetting with a bottle heater and remote opener. I have made no mods specific to the nitrous, other than what was required for the installation (fuel sourcing). So far, no problems.
Re: NOS anyone?
On the ZEX kit they specify 4.2v and over for the throttle position sensor to activate the NOS and a fuel system that uses vacuum so they can increase the AFR when the NOS is activated.
In the "G" the max voltage is 3.2v and we use a returnless vacuumless fuel system. So how did you address these 2 challenges?
And are you using the NEW system they just came out with, that is supposed to "learn" your throttle position sensor?

Re: NOS anyone?
I had no issues with the TPS once I located the correct wire. Yes, this is the new "wet" ZEX system that "learns" the TPS voltage (#82021).
As for fuel, I purchased a fuel pressure test adapter (service item) and placed it in line between the fuel damper and fuel rail; I used the pressure gauge port on the adapter to connect the fuel line to the ZEX control box (solenoid).

Thought about doing the same thing but the cost of using the pressure test kit versus teeing off the fuel line with a 4 AN fitting won out. Thanks for the heads up.
The ZEX kit looks a lot easier to install than the others.
Let us know what you run if you take it to the track.

Re: NOS anyone?
I was able to purchase the adapter by itself...not the full kit. I can't remember but it didn't cost over $30.00.
FYI - I have been "told" different stories about tapping the fuel line itself; one story is that you can do it without issues, while the other is that you will not be able to rely on proper fuel pressure unless you tap after the fuel damper.
The install wasn't too bad aside from deciding how to tap for fuel and finding the TPS voltage wire.
I can't decide about the track...this car refuses to launch hard without spinning the tires; I need a decent street/strip suspension before I get too concerned about 1/4 mile times. I don't want to be dissapointed due to a lousy 60 ft.

Re: NOS anyone?
I wouldn't be too concerned about the e.t because of the traction problem, but I'd still take it to the track to see the trap speed. if you could get 102-103 mph or even higher, that would be pretty nice.....

Re: NOS anyone?
he should be getting well above 102 I think he would hit around 115 with a 50shot. The G traps like 102 stock

Re: NOS anyone?
marcel,
you'll need alot more than 50 HP to go from 102 to 115mph in the 1/4 mile!!!!
plus, I didn't think the G breaks 100 in the 1/4 mile. Most of the tests I have seen are around 98.
With a good launch, 105 - 106 should be attainable int he 1/4
