I'm gonna crawl under a bit later and take some more pics. My buddy has it and is using it to see if he had some same diameter piping at home, for our anticipated fabrication of a new mid pipe. i tried to rotatenit some but it wont turn any. the amgle thats shown is the only angle that allows me to place it as pictured

what does not look correct, BTW?

Did you take the heat shield off the driver side? Also you need to get the first piece of the down pipe in before that pipe, so you can see where it needs to be oriented. Do you have the turbo mounted yet?

Yeah I took the heat shield. Nothing else has been mounted. At this point I don't think it matters cause win I try and mount the crossover, the two of them won't mate

Question: are there truly differences between coupe and sedan engine bays? also, does a coupes engine look like this area, where the a/c lines are all secured at?

Well got some bad news. Looks like thethe rack n pinion is different in the sedan. Also there are minor differences in regards to the engine bay and frame. So that means I won't be able to complete the DIY install I was anticipating.

I'm weighing options to trade the kit for a Vortech, or sell it. Installing it isn't out of the picture but I need to figure out how n when I can make it to Arizona to have intense perform the modification n installation

sad to see that pipe hitting the knuckle looks like it just need a hammer to make it fit I would pound a small dent into that pipe. The AC lines you posted look the same as a couple. You are going to take the car to Arizona when you have shops like GTM and SFR local to you....

It's more than the pipe, though. the inner dimensions are a tad bit smaller, and the rack and pinion are vastly different. hence the coupler hitting the piping.

as for going to Arizona: i already called GTM, and they said to take it to Intense, as it's their kit. Single turbos are already a tight fit in and of itself. But taking that as well as the clearance discrepancies mean this is more than i imagined. I would be fine trying to fabricate that one pipe; but now it looks like i'd have to fabricate/modify an entire kit.

I had to modify my downpipe and cold piping on my g after I replaced the turbo with a garrett...

It sucks, but do what is best for you. I hope you do get it squared away and on the road soon regardless if you get FI or not...

good luck!

OK..another update.

I have a tentative sale on the Powerlab kit (waiting for paypal funds). Assuming he comes through with the purchase, I'm going to buy a used Greddy kit and start the DIY all over again.

If the sale doesn't go through, then I'm taking it to Intense mid- to end April for the install.
