Vortech idler pulley question

I tried searching and I found a part number and I just need someone to confirm this for me...

My supplied smooth idler pulley bearings have finally worn out and I found that dayco sells pulleys that will work. Is the part number for it from dayco 89005?

Thanks

what pulley are you talking about the smooth factory idler or the one on the vortech bracket? the vortech idler has a snap ring you can remove and push out the bearing and put in a new one the universal bearing number is on it.

my smooth idler has sidewall to keep the belt on track. If your's has sidewalls also, then that part number is incorrect. When googled, it showed a pulley that is completely smooth. I think the size of the pulley is correct (76mm). Just go to and auto parts store and ask them for the dayco pulley catalog and tell them you need a 76mm pulley for 6-rib belt. there is probably only 2-3 variation of the smooth idler pulley to pick from in that size. goodluck

It means you're experiencing belt slippage.
