5AT With Turbo
okay so im fixed on superchargering it, ive been lookin at some kits ATI, HKS And Vortech Of Course Some Others But These Are the ones that caught my attention, does anyone know a good setup for supercharging, as far as replacing the pulley? Also With the HKS SC it says it only produces 80 HP, While i Think The ATI Produces more, my question is, would i be better off replacing the pullin on the HKS and see what i can gain or better off doing it to the ati procharger?
Turbo lag is a mith. You can select a turbo that will get you full boost at 3500rpm and give you more torque than any supercharger.
OP, FI should be the last upgrade when autocrossing. Suspention, brakes, tires and fluids should be upgraded before purchasing a turbo/sc

And Post Like This, Is What Keeps My Head Lookin Back At A Turbo Option For FI Instead of SC, IDK The Autocross Is more of a hobby for me, im mainly daily driver, who does some street racing and highway racing. and to Swivel, Yes i know i need to do more research, thats why im here, yes im a newbie, and i do require a little more breakdown, but keep in mind im being humble about this not an *** lol, i need something that can be RELIABLE but with good power gains, i guess im still in the process of weighing my pros n cons here, thanks guys, ill stop this thread now, since swivel is right im not in the right section for this, well message me for any responses to this thread, im going to continue my research, once again thanks guys
If you haven't already started, i suggest starting now before you even consider FI. Autocross is a lot more about handling than it is power. Adding an s/c now won't help you very much at this point. Not to mention, you're automatically bumped up to a higher class.
If you're real serious about Autocrossing in the future, start with what you have now then build it up accordingly in the handling and grip department. Once you've outgrown that, then consider power adders.
However, if all you want is to add power, then turbo or s/c is fine, but i would still suggest upgrading other components before even going down this route. Two things to start with are your tires and brakes. More power will need more traction and a better way to scrape speed.
FWIW, as much fun as a Turbo is, i'd go with the s/c route because of a more linear power delivery. Smaller turbo's reduce lag, but it is there.
